how it works
- Claim. Bid in the coin. An empty room takes 1,000 or more; after that you need the holder's bid plus 10%.
- Hold. 90% of your bid is your stake. The other 10% goes to the holder you bumped.
- Get paid to leave. When someone outbids you, your stake comes back plus 10% of their bid, in their transaction.
- Close. Fifteen minutes with no outbid and the room closes: the holder gets the stake back plus the purse, and a new room opens.
a worked example
Ana claims the empty room for 10,000. 1,000 becomes the purse; her stake is 9,000.
Ben outbids at 12,000. Ana gets 9,000 + 1,200 = 10,200 back, right away. Ben's stake is 10,800.
Nobody outbids Ben for 15 minutes. The room closes and Ben gets 10,800 + the 1,000 purse = 11,800.
